INTRO
CAPTURING INSTANT MOMENTS
Hello!
We are graduate students from the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema Studies, Brooklyn College. Nice to e-meet you.
As film students, we are drawn to understanding the core of filmmaking and cinematography. We have an opportunity to infuse our love for celluloid into our film school's experience and collaborating with you on this will be the perfect match. We would love to work with Brooklyn Film Camera to build a mini commercial for vintage Polaroids.
Our objective is to implement what we've been learning in class and the schools' amazing resources to create a piece we can all connect with and hopefully use in our portfolio in the future. We have been always captivated by BFC and your mission to bring polaroid, celluloid, and analog back.

FILM IS NOT DEAD!
Our idea is to portray Brooklyn (our home and home to our school) and Brooklynites using Polaroids from Brooklyn Film Camera to capture their best moments in life. We will film three situations where Polaroids will be the centerpiece and match it all together into a nice one-minute spot.
We are inspired by movies like the ones below to capture those moments with our digital cinema camera, Bolex 16mm and mix it with scans of the Polaroids we will take on the shooting days.

We will be casting talent who represent the diversity, the beauty, and the true spirit of Brooklyn. As immigrants and POC, we know the importance of representation and we will make sure our cast reflects that.

A skater goes to the skatepark to relax and takes polaroids of his friends trying new moves and falling.

A queer couple dresses up and enjoys a night out in the city- showing their love freely while taking Polaroids.
NOW WHAT?
Our ask of you is to lend us three polaroid cameras for the shoot. We own the Polaroid Supercolor 635CL and are looking to borrow Polaroid SX-70 (Model 2), the Polaroid 600 Amigo, and the Polaroid SX-70 OneStep for this project. We would also love to feature your beautiful local business that's supporting local artists and reviving film and film culture in the community. And finally, we would love to share with you our final film for Usage across social media to promote your business and products.
