INTRO
Taking inspiration from Are You the One by Feifei Yang was a piece of cake. A piece of very pink cake to be exact. Such energetic beats and catchy lyrics can only be enhanced and brought to another level by high-quality imagery. It is exciting to me to touch the c-pop genre and I'm sure we will make something extremely beautiful and thought through together.
Are You the One is about falling in love. That innocent love that feels too good to be true. The song captures the well-known "teenage" pure feeling of wanting the person you fell for to be exactly what you wish they are so you don't have to look for anything else anymore. The beats take me to the light-headed spirit of walking in the streets and remembering heart-warming moments when falling in love.
BEAUTY AND QUALITY
It is a challenge to compete with the super high budget of most c-pop and k-pop hits, but we will step up to the challenge to use our best talents to deliver something both bold and beautiful. The key will be curating perfect locations and concentrating on getting excellent shots, quality over variety.
The hero word here is BEAUTY. This song calls for flawless beauty, and for that, my focus will be on lighting that accentuates every right spot, camera framing that hit the best angles, and plenty of time for makeup, apart from a hyper-curated wardrobe. Feifei is the pop star and we will make her shine like such.
MOOD BEAUTY
PINK
We will construct a world of pink bliss. 3 different sets with shades of pink will compose our filmic world. A lot of music videos are constructed with 3 different scenarios so they can be intercut between each other for specific moments. We will be able to focus on 2 of these scenarios per day of shoot and make the music video diverse while still high quality.

The first one is a pure pink background that will allow Feifei to be a pure beauty in the middle of it. Some pure pink props can be come in to picture to bring meaning into the video such as a ceramic heart, phone and love letters. Everything here will be monocromatic with a single shade of pink.

The second scenario, shot on the same studio day as the "all pink" background involves a lot of flowers. It will bring the hiper feminility and fresh feelings of a new love into the scene.

For our 3rd style of location, we will hit two different spots in the city that have pink in their architecture. Ideally we would choose one where there are interesting pink neon lights and another one that has a great view of the NYC skyline.
I can't wait to make all these pink worlds into reality and have truly BEAUTIFUL footage. Thank you for the opportunity.
